Cool I didn't know the 40GB had 65nm chips. That's just the Cell I take it? A 70w saving is pretty good and will only get better over time.
Yep, it's a die shrink for the same Cell processor.
Think of it as being like the difference between a Conroe processor and a Wolfdale. It's the same design on a smaller process which thusly yields lower power consumption.

Thats cool - I was just wondering if they shrunk the RSX as well. My PS3 is defective (faulty bluray drive) and I'm hoping they'll just replace it with a new one (65nm) rather than fix it.
