Following on from my mum dieing.....

The calendar is a great idea but you have no idea how much work goes into sorting it out 
The FTO one took about 8 MONTHS to do and that was highly organised :/
You've gotta arrange the photoshoots ( photographer , location etc ) you have to get all the layout sorted , get it all printed and distributed
Also you're going to have to sell AT LEAST 400/500 before you can cover your costs and start to be able to donate to charity
It's a great idea but it's not gonna work ... lets concentrate on things that WE CAN do

How about if it was a one off unique item?
If you want in you have to be able to take your own piccys and whatever, and then we auction it?
Just an idea but I can see even that would still be a fair amount of work.

well it's not much but it's an idea....
we're in the process of moving our fishies into a bigger aquarium. So in the next few weeks we'll be getting some more.
We have 5 at the moment and one newbie who is brown with big orange eyebrows so we've been calling him jasper
But....should anyone want to donate money to name the new OCUK sponsor fishies then all will go to this good cause..... If people want to do it I will take piccy's when they arrive and you can bid away to name them. I'm quite happy to do an update thread on OCUK too so you can see how your fishies are getting on
Just think...you could have a fish named after you - who could want more

I personally feel that something which has had some sort of effort, whether it be post count etc. would be a better tribute than just a donation.
Although any thing is appreciated.
Have the Don's decided upon a facilitator been sorted?
I currently have decided that for the funeral only immediate family are to send flowers, all other friends and none direct family has been asked that they send a donation instead of flowers. At the end of the day the flowers are personally a waste. ESP this time of year. Charity donations are more beneficial for other suffers.

Hi
We have two Little Britain tickets for the Manchester Apollo tomorrow evening. In the Stalls, NN is the row. Will find a seating chart.
Its short notice, I know, but the tickets will be available for collection/delivery in the local area. So if you want them, bid a sensible amount for them.
If anyone is interested, then I'll start a new thread and they'll go to the highest bidder (they cost £26.00 each). We'll donate it to Ace's charity. They are currently on Ebay but will remove them if we get a reasonable donation in the area of face value.
Please quote interest on here initially.
