Fomatting tools

Hi,

I'm about to RMA a drive because of bad sectors. I want to properly clean the drive before returning it. Can someone recommend a good tool?

Delete the partition and then create a new one and format it. You'd have to be *really* determined to get anything off it after that. If you really want to secure erase it there are loads of free tools to do it, here's one: http://www.brothersoft.com/secure-eraser-50233.html

Havent tried it but read a similar post that mentioned DBAN. Dont think its DOD standard so you might have to have a look. You could try Acronis or Active@ Killdisk if you want to pay for something.
