What food does everyone hate? For me Salmon(although smoked is delicious) and Pork Bellly.
Gimme some pork belly that's been cooked so its crispy all the way and i love it(like a bacon rasher), but a lot of the time I see it its got a crispy layer then an inch of fat. Its the fat I don't like, but tbh that goes for all meat. You dislike pork belly? Chinese crunchy skin pork belly?
I’ve never heard of that before….
I don’t hate anything but dislike pickled eggs or overcooked vegetables.
Buckle upBaked beans
Haha hated celery when i was younger but love it now. Cherry toms I can just pop into my mouth one after the otherLiterally just had some pork belly for my dinner, 8h braised then pressed overnight, sliced and stir fried with a sweet chilli/teriyaki glaze on rice. Nom.
For me I can't stand celery or raw cherry tomatoes. Both are grim.
The other half fries mushrooms and has them on toast(wtf) and it smells revolting. Yet I love them with a fry up.Oh and how could I forget mushrooms. Dirty dirty dirty vile things.
Spinach is great, just got to chop it up small, very good for you and its one of those veg you can hide in any dish.Oh, I forgot spinach..
What the actual F is that supposed to be when it's cooked, shrivelled green slime.
I agree, liver, kidneys and heart all smell revolting when cooking. Don't notice it so much in a steak and kidney pie.I’m probably in the minority, but I really don’t like liver or kidneys either
Ahh ok the pork belly is on the right, id hate to chew through that amount of fat. The Char Sui looks amazing though.Roast Pork belly on one side
Char sui on the other
Rice at the bottom
Agree on the seafood especially Lobster, Crab and Scallops, prefer it to fish. Smoked Haddock is probably the best fish if I was to eat it, nice poached in milk with a bit of bread and butter. Many of foods mentioned in this thread so far are my favourites haha, seafood (especially prawns, scallops, squid), mushrooms in all their forms, pork belly, blue cheese (roquefort please), I love it all. Organ meet too, love a bit of liver or kidney but it has to be cooked correctly or the texture is wrong and it becomes disgusting.
I hate:
Anything really sweet, which includes most desserts. Anything other than fresh fruit where 'sweetness' is the predominant flavour. (If I go to a restaurant and everyone else has dessert I'll usually have a double whisky or another starter if I'm driving).
Sponge cake, apart from the sweetness the texture makes me gag.
Over-ripe bananas. I like them when they are yellow with just a hint of green, if it has a few black spots it's tolerable but not enjoyable, once the outside is predominantly black spots it will make me gag because of the texture.
Over-cooked red meat, too dry, just no. Steak must be rare.
Roast chicken or roast turkey, too dry. Most other chicken dishes are fine though. If I go to a roast and all they have is chicken/turkey I'll be happy eating just the skin.
Overly spicy food. I like food that to me tastes a little spicy but I'm very sensitive to spice so most other people would call the same dishes bland. I usually have a Dupiaza at Indian restaurants, occasionally a Rogan Josh but that's as far as I go.
Baked beans, again it's the texture.
Dark chocolate, too bitter.
If I like mussels will I like cockles?Honestly, try them you will be surprised!
