when you consider the extra hassle, time and getting to places other than supermarkets you see the appeal, i hate tesco, but its the only supermarket nearby. it has gotten very expensive recently, i mean in the last couple of moths.
I find that an online shop allows you to see all of the deals in one place. Every now and then I'll throw the weekly list out of the window and just buy all the offers.
So we give extra money to tesco and they give it too the farmers. Sounds... believable.
The only time I want to pay more for my food is if I'm buying more or better quality. I don't want to pay more for the same thing even if the money goes to my mother.
Interesting so many claiming supermarkets are expensive
Certainly not been my experience and also its reasonably well known that UK food is cheap compared to a lot of europe.
The main reason the supermarkets became as powerful at they did was that they offered convenience (local shops used to have very restrictive opening hours), and lower prices (local shops didn't used to be at all cheap).
