First off sorry for the weird thread
I'm apparently ill with oesophagitis (not a medical thread, I went to a doctor before OcUK, please don't lock this thread, et cetera), and as a result eating and drinking are now considerably painful experiences, though drinking less so.
I have medication to help me deal with the illness but I've not found anything to deal with the pain and since I don't really fancy eating nothing but soup for the next two or three weeks, I was wondering what ideas the collective mind of the forum can come up with.
The food needs to be:
- Tasty (obvious)
- Easy (I live in halls, the kitchen we have isn't exactly Heston Blumenthal standard)
- Most importantly, pain-free to eat. "Harder" foods like pork chops and steak aren't great, even if I cut them into tiny cubes like you would for a six year old. Even biscuits are a no go: they crumble and then you get millions of little bits scraping the oesophagus
Essentially anything liquid or mashed will work, I guess, unless there are better ideas?
I will be forever indebted to whoever provides me with nice food ideas
