Food to cook when you can't eat?

Eww that is disgusting!

Google Congee :p

Yes, but i don't think the OP will like it if it is the first time. Visually it looks rubbish as it originated from the peasants in china in the time of famine and this was a easy way to make up a small amount of rice into larger quantities and of course, easy to eat. It now serves a stable part of the breakfast menu lol

But yes, a easy way to get carbs and protein (add pork) into your body.

Macaroni cheese, mince and onion, fish pie, oeuf en cocquot (baked egg).

Baked egg is nothing more than breaking an egg into a greased ramakin dish, salt and pepper, chop up some bacon or ham, a small amount of tinned sweetcorn, double cream, grated cheese on top then into a hot oven for 20 mins or so. If doing in microwave first, pierce egg to avoid redecorating the microwave. Finish off under the grill. Nice with some sweet chilli sauce on.

Seriously?! OP can only have food that's fairly easy on the digestive tract and "bland". What you've suggested sounds anything but that!

Egg, milk or milk equivalent thus will provide all amino acids, banana or fruits of choice (banana and pear is nice imo), blend. You now have a meal in liquid form.

That sounds awesome, but at the time there wasn't a chance in hell I could handle that - maybe after the first week or so :p

Do you have a food processor/blender? If so, pick up a second hand book of soup recipes and just go nuts with it. It's really easy to make remarkably tasty, varied soups even with little equipment and not much time.
