Rafael went in with one foot and didn't touch Lucus, Maxi left visible stud marks on Rafel which the pictures prove

You have metioned the contact thing a few times, and its irrelevant. There doesn't have to be contact. A tackle can be deemed 'dangerous' without contact and still warrant a red card.

Thats glossing over thr fact it was two-footed, with both feet off the ground.

Fact of the matter is the ref bottled the Carragher tackle so he could hardly turn round and send Rafael off for his tackle, it was reckless yes but he got the ball and there was no contact made.

I could see why he could have been sent off but the ref bottled it and so couldn't make the decision.

I can't stand that damn ref, he really is an absolute plank.

He's a drama queen, how many times did he full on encourage time wasting and argueing rather than getting on with the game.

Was it Suarez in the corner who had a rant at the assistant ref, instead of either getting on with the game, or giving a yellow, he blew the whistle about eleventy billion times, walked over very slowly, called Evra over(who'd done nothing, complained about nothing and was just trying to take a throw in) spoke at length to both, no yellow, eventually ran off and played on.

WHile the Rafael/Skrtel argy bargy was going on he just backed off stood there and waited.

He always does that, he always calls people over for a long talk without carding the player, he turns things into situations when they aren't, he loves it when he's the centre of attention and loves it when he has a chance to slow a game down and be on camera talking, or at least thats how he always comes across.

I think one of the things the ref did with that behaviour was almost encourage the players to get more wound up. Suarez, whistle, tell him to shut it, play on, done. Caragher, give the card, hurry up about it, play on. Instead he stood there acting like he wasn't sure what he was going to do, letting all the players try to change his mind, Evra, a couple Utd players and loads of Liverpool players surrounding him, give the card and they'll shut up, instead he lets this stuff build up.

Meant to have a go at him earlier, I think this every single time he ref's a match, he's the single ref who I think prefers camera time and being "the man" more than any other, horrendous ref.

Anyway, Merson, other than Suarvez as he called him, he had a point, Carroll over Maxi "the invisible" Rodrigez could only have improved the team, frankly Utd were asking for a spanking today and I think Carroll over Maxi would be the way to go. Probably Kuyt left and Gerrard right though, but Merson has damaged a lot of brain cells.

Also Merson came up with the line of the season during the Wigan/West Ham game, midway through the second half Jeff asked him what was going on "I think they've swapped shirts at half time", brilliant.

another top top entertaining game from spurs. wasn't even a penalty imo and the dissalowed goal was the correct decision too for charging into the keeper as much as going for the ball. happy with a draw, especially under the circumstances of the occassion. we were never going to get a brilliant passing game going on that ridiculously bad pitch which is barely championship standard, but hey, that's where they'll be this time next year anyway :D

oh and man utd lost which is always nice. when is ferguson going to have the courage to drop rooney?

I think Fergie will never truly give Rooney a run on the bench as he figures, probably rightly, that his confidence is low at the moment and that would give it a knock it wouldn't return from.

The question for me, however, is should the club have to pander to him in this way?

Apologies to cm1179 for pointing out his frailties.

Was a clear penalty and even the Spurs fans on here were saying so, the disallowed goal was also a joke, Gomes had his arms all over the Wolves player, you should have lost, be man enough to admit it.

Funny how Wolves the Championship team beat you home and away last season and you have only took a point off them today because of another inept refereeing performance.

why would i be anything else? seriously, the penalty decision was harsh, i think the ref realised it was harsh, that's why hutton didn't walk. hutton (technically) should have walked. their dissalowed goal will be on motd2 shortly. gomes was a little weak in his claim but the wolves player was going into him. fair play to wolves though, they didn't quit! hutton's positioning is amateurish at times, a major weak point.

oh yeah, last season. that was the season we finished 4th ... right?
chin up. i understand why you're bitter, united are now finally done riding their luck and being shown up for the frauds they are. i cannot take any united fan seriously once you start mentioning referee's 'decisions'. go and pick your toys up.

What does United have to do with anything?

Why would I be bitter that you should have lost? You're no threat to us

So they beat you twice during your best season for years :D

I think you look at yourself being bitter tbh, Wolves should have beat you today and because yet another referee bottled it you got away with it.
