Which is how a zoom lens works... which is presented to the viewer by the illustration of a lens surrounding the area... or do the public think there really was a white circle surrounding Nani's leg, planted there by the callous Carragher?

Jesus christ, even I'm getting bored now.

For the final time, imo, it's not clear that only the immediate area around the cut is zoomed as if you look at the width of Nani's lower leg (which is included in the 'zoomed' circle), it's no wider than would appear normal. Imo again, that picture makes the cut appear disproportionately larger than it actually is.

Maybe I made the point because I'm a cynic and think that the person that's made the picture is intentionally trying to make the gash look worse than it is. Who knows, maybe it was totally innocent, however going by peoples reactions to that picture, you'd have though Nani's lower leg was hanging off.

edit: Good lad Skip :)

Since it's zoomed in the two lines that form Nani's leg don't match, to me that's pretty clear unless you are short-sighted/slow/both. That's beside the point that there's a giant circle around the area that apparantly makes this 'visual trickery' happen, at which point maybe the homo sapiens involved begins to do some 'detective work'.

So... erm, nice 'opinion' there mate, but let us know how guessing at the motivations and underlying psyche of the photographer goes.

Which would suggest that the area of Nani's leg that is 'zoomed' should be wider than the area that isn't included in the zoom but it's not.

Well I showed it to a few mates earlier in the day, believing the pic to be not normal sized, but the wound a lot bigger than it is, and they assumed so too from the pic. As did another forum I frequent. So... that leaves one constant...

I'm tired now Baz; whatever that can be said, has been said.

Will you be around for tomorrow's Arsenal game? :)

That like people have like friends? ;)

I will but if you want something new to argue about tonight.....

I've got no sympathy for Nani, I laughed at him crying and we're going to spank you next Sunday in the youth cup :p

Its truly ridiculous just how often the "normal" top 7 are really damn awful. Throwing away points left right and centre, playing so badly, with so many ridiculously awful players in most of the top sides.

If Chelsea win the title this year, playing THAT badly for basically 3 months of the season, bit of a joke really.

It will be down to how badly the sides above them perform, this late in the season with them being that many points behind. However there's no real reason why they couldn't click back into gear and get a run on, they've proved themselves capable plenty of times in recent years.

The league's levelled out a lot this season - more money, Liverpool sorting themselves out, City's investments paying dividends. Lesser sides are starting to have a go at top sides now, not rolling over for them. It's not just Arsenal they're attacking (...in more ways then one ;)).

Don't forget that we've almost been blessed in this country for having a top dominant 'worthy' champion in recent years, and that's down to a star player or manager. From Theirry Henry, to Maureen and to Ronaldo we've had a reason why that team has romped to success as opposed to farting around.

Both UTD and us could reach 87 points (only one, or both to 85), but that's it. In previous years at this stage with 10 or so games to go usually one or two could reach the 90s with ease.

oh yeh cos united have been playing awesomely, haven't they? if there's any justice and as much as it pains me to say this (but especially after arshavins dissalowed goal on saturday) arsenal deserve it

Aye, but how many times does the team with the prettiest football, namingly us, win the league.

Arsenal can also be over -elaborate, which rather than adding to the "pretty-ness" actually takes away from it

So I wouldnt say you are totally correct

As has been said before, who-ever wins the title may well be the worst team to do it for a good number of years, but odds on they will probably deserve it, whatever quality of game they have had this season. :)

Norwich managed a good win over Leicester and Swansea drew... Norwich could be heading for another automatic promotion. They will get ruined in the prem, mind. Squad is so much more than the sum of it's parts at the moment.

Leciester appear to be living in the 90s; up front they have Darius Vassell and Yakubu ahaha

All very close atm. Good win for Leeds, Presto have taken points off Norwich, QPR and Forest in the past few games.

Champ is really a fab league at the moment. So much could happen. QPR are faultering... could get so tasty up the top. Their goal difference is another level though... bloody Abel :p

QPR have only conceeded 24 goals this season if I'm reading this right? That's mental!
