BUT, BUT!!! The BBC use Ian Wright occasionally and that just can't be allowed to go on, "Cretin of the Year 2002" winner.

Ally McCoist is a hero. He is constantly cracking jokes and amusing everyone, he works for the BBC too, on A Question of Sport. Hes so good both channels want him.

Another vote for the BBC - but with reservations, I can't stand Trevor Brooking or Barry Davies, and on Football Focus on Saturdays they sometimes get crap guests on like morose Bryan Robson or (shudder) Stan Collymore.

I actually quite like Ron Atkinson most of the time - I'd take him over Brooking any day. Clive Tyldesley can be okay too - Motty is the clear winner though :D

As for the build-up to live matches, there's no contest - the BBC wins hands down with Lineker who is easy to watch and knowledgeable about the game as an ex-player, unlike the wooden Lynam who looks like he'd rather be elsewhere  Lynam looks so uncomfortable and I think as a result his guests / co-presenters are never as comfortable as their counterparts on the BBC cos Lineker is so laid-back and assured

BBC easy.

Lineker is actually pretty good. Although not keen on Lawenson.
Hansen is the man tho.

I think this pretty much sums up the two channels really - if ever they both show the same thing, BBC always wins with about 75% ;)

The BBC and ITV are both as bad as each other. The best football pundit on either is Alan Hanson (BBC, an absolute LEGEND).

However BIG Ron, and he is very big, is absolute pure comedy to listen to cos he knows nothing about football.

Clive T "and what was Veron trying to there?"
Big Ron "It was a Hollywood ball"

What!?
