Football Manager 25 Cancelled

They should have done this from the start really.

Haven't they been working on an Unreal engine game for a good few years now?

I'd probably prefer it if they did game releases every other year and did data updates in between. Really hasn't been much in the way of feature updates for a long time that have made gameplay really interesting.

Sega released the info during Japanese working hours.
Pretty sure that the SI Twitter channel posted it, so not Sega directly, and it looks like the post on SI Forums' was about 19 hours ago. I get SI is owned by Sega but it feels pretty dismissive of SI to post in the early hours. THe whole FM25 saga has been a shambles and the timing of the posts announcing its cancellation is hopefully the end of this saga. Until the FM26 saga starts. Wouldn't mind betting they have to delay that a bit too! :D

Yes SI released a statement on Twitter, but Sega announced it in a corporate financial update - so SI timed the tweet to coincide with the Sega announcement. They couldn't do it earlier than that because it's a formal financial update that impacted share trading etc. You could argue that SI should have waited a few hours, but probably doing it at the earliest opportunity and avoiding people "leaking" the Sega announcement was the better option.

I get why SI couldn't post earlier. But they should have waited until later in the morning to post their own tweets and forum updates. BBC News posted just after 8am, https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/ckg0pm8k49ro and Guardian after midday, https://www.theguardian.com/footbal...5-video-game-cancelled-after-series-of-delays.

The whole episode feels unbelievably disrespectful to the FM community. It's also interesting that Miles was all over the FM25 launch but for the initial delay and then today's cancellation, he's nowhere to be seen.

I've not seriously played FM since about 2012, so given this FM2025 thing I am bizarrely wanting to fire up FM2024 which I've had as an Epic giveaway. Can anyone point me in the direction of a one click graphics megapack for logos, faces etc. And also what is the best database with Jan transfers at the mo? May as well ask in this thread I guess.

Oh snap, I'm in the same boat. Haven't really played since 2013/14 but would probably give 2024 a go with a good logo pack.
