Footballing highlights of the year.

Dagleish wasting something like 80m on three turds and a racist ;)

Man u fans crying about unfair spending now they can no longer bully teams with their finances.

Balotelli huge value for money on the entertainment front, seems a nice guy as well.

Other than that a boring year really on the whole in the premiership.

As an Arsenal fan the only highlight this yr has been RVP and his epic goal scoring run, hes now tied with Henry for most goals bagged in a season.

As a football fan, id have to say the only other highlight is Messi, watching him play and score goals as if it was second nature to him.

Sorry for the poor quality but the HTC Legend doesn't take great photos.

I'd be on that photo somewhere, albeit on the red side. Ah well, personal highlights would be beating Bolton 5-0 in the semi, at least appearing in the final and also the great europa run.

I'll also be able to tell you the highlight for 2012 will be a trip to the Mestalla in Feb :)

Urmmmmmmmm promotion day last may was very special (got to go on the pitch and everything) :)

Pomp away last weekend was special as its pomp away and chances are that wont happen again.

Leeds at home on the opening day of this season was also very special too as a 3-1 home win really set the bar for the season and none of us were expecting it :)

AFC Totton to the 2nd round of the fa cup was pretty cool for a non southampton moment

Chesney's penalty save against Di Natale. Epic fist pumping moment.

Also the last hour of the transfer window was pretty epic :)!

Watching Stoke win 5-0 against Bolton at Wembley, with my Dad. The greatest supporting day of my 35 years of life. After years of total dross, I suspect very few
Posters in this thread will understand the true emotion this brought on. And that's not a dig, I just know a lot of people don't really have true roller coaster connection with their team.

Secondly, and oddly you might think, I was at the final (without my dad) blarting my eyes out at abide with me. What an evotive hymm, I didn't realise the power of it until trying to sing it and thinking of all those I'd loved and lost.

Credit to Man City, the better side by far won, but I'll hope the FA Cup final is remembered for the sportsmanship shown by the 30,000 Stoke fans that stayed until the bitter end. Applauding both the Stoke management teams effort and Man City's triumph. Many friends were made that day.

Here is to a entertaining and meaningful 2012 :)

Ps great thread btw :)
