Hi all. I'm trying to compile a list of monitors which feature 1:1 pixel mapping as i think this is a key area people are interested in with the range of WS models now available. If any of you own any of these models, or can confirm whether they do / don't support 1:1 pixel mapping then please let me know in this thread. I'll update the list as we go, hopefully it will be useful here as well :)

Does it matter that much whether or not it supports 1:1?

You can just do it in software if it doesn't using powercolor etc.

not always. For instance, people have tried this with software on the Viewsonic VX2025WM and no one that I have seen has managed to operate a 1:1 pixel mapping. If someone can show otherwise i'd be interested to see though

Thats entire menu is greyed out for me. Im using it on DVI. Any suggestions as to why I can't access this menu?

you can normally only access it when you're runnnig something which would need it. Start up a 4:3 aspect game and the option should then show in OSD ok :)

that is software supported 1:1 pixel scaling! I'm impressed, i've not seen anyone actually achieve that from software! Can you post some pics please?

ps, sounds like the monitor doesnt support 1:1 pixel mapping, but the software allows it :) Good stuff

i'm not sure it will work on all WS monitors tbh, i'm sure people have tried it on the Viewsonic VX2025WM with no luck. Would be interested to know though....

Baddass - as a suggestion, you may want to ask people to provide info as to whether the Nvidia control panel or ATI equivalent overcomes any particular monitor's lack of built scaling. Obviously, if it does, the lack of built in scaling isn't an issue. Would just be another column in your table and make it more comprehensive ;)

will do :) Will update first page and also the main table on my site :)

looks promising, maybe a lot of screens can support this through software, just need more people to test centred output with NVidia graphics cards

Hi Joe. When you say table, which one do you mean? The one on my site?

I've updated the first post with monitors which have been confirmed software wise as well, is that ok for you? Ive either put software = Y or software = N depending on what the outcome is

which Acer do you mean does not do software 1:1?

did the monitor get re-detected when you plugged it into the "new" DVI port? Did it initiate the installation of the Viewsonic driver? I'm wondering whether the presence or absence of the driver would have any effect at all.

what about over VGA, does it work then?
