which will be better, this set of specs ;

-Intel® Core™ i7-2670QM processor,
NVIDIA® GeForce® GT555M graphics card,
500GB hard drive,
4GB RAM

or this set of specs;

-Intel® Core™ i5-3210M processor,
NVIDIA® GeForce® GT 650M graphics,
500GB HDD,
4GB RAM

i know the 650m is a better GPU but the i7 is a better processor right?

so which will be best for gaming!

Thank you (I know its about laptops but no body answered in that section!)

For gaming i5 3210 and gt 650m would be better
For office use i7.

thank you for that,
what about this spec? is this better than the others ( it is pricier)

Intel® Core™ i7-740QM processor,
NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX460M graphics,
6GB RAM,
1TB HDD

thanks
Joe

for gaming. get the i5 as no games as yet use hyper threading which is the benifit of the i7.
i7 only an advantage if you using, Photoshop, CAD, 3d rendering software.
For office use i7.
by that i assume you mean what i said about not things like word, excel? as a i3 would be for that

what is your budget?

basically under £800 would be nice.
I do not use photoshop, CAD or 3d rendering software, just play games and browse the net with occasional homework (word etc.)

I was looking at the Medion Erazers as they seem good for the price...

out of those i'd say the i7 one tho. as more ram, and bit better gpu. but have more of a look

I would have liked to of got it from OCUK (bought my desktop from there , £1200 worth of parts ) but they are all over my budget unfortunately!
yeh i dunno where they all went. when i last looks at laptops on there there were loads for under 800
