For Makunouchi

Hey.
Sadly my opponent pulled out, citing a "family bereavement". I was really, really annoyed as you might imagine, after psyching myself up all day. Apparently it was this other guys first bout as well, and he had pulled out of another match a couple of weeks earlier with the same excuse... so unless his family is dropping like flies he is most likely just a complete pussy. My coach only found this out after speaking to some of the other club coaches on the night, if he had of known before he would never had tried to set me up with this guy. Oh well, nothing I could do. I did however get 'weighed in' and had the medical check etc to stand by as an extra (in case another fight fell through and I could act as a replacement), but in the end I wasn't needed.
My coach is trying to arrange another bout for me for next Thursday in Bognor at a show that's going on there so hopefully it won't be too long before I can finally fight.
One of the other guys from my club also had his first fight that night, and he got an easy victory against his opponent, forcing a standing 8 count after only about 45 seconds, then knocking the guy down after about 1:30 after which the match was stopped. So we had something to celebrate at least

Hopefully you get the other fight, I'll be right Fully star out all swear words! off if my opponent pulls out, worked hard solid for 2 months now for this, win lose or draw I want to at least get in there!
I suppose you get a bit more time to get ready, and got to see someone from your gym get in there and do it, bit of a mental boost at least.
