It's probably worth adding the date that the list starts. In my case it starts from 2001 which makes the 3 80s Ford Escorts even more embarrasing.

I'm not actually car less but I don't own a car right now. I'm using my mothers old MK3 Golf Driver and I appear to have become responsible for all the bills regarding the wifes Leon.

I sold my Jeep a month or so ago so have not had a car in my name since then - picking up a new 2nd hand car week today which should be a laugh.

Most cars I've had at one time was 3 in my name - 2 205GTIs and an Impreza - I all but gave the 205s away because they were taking up space and the wife said the 205s made her ickle arms hurt steering.

I think I may have the worst car history:

Mini 1275GT (track rod end sheared off, went in a straight line at full lock - my first car lasted about 48 hours)
Vauxhall Nova Merit 1.2L
Volvo 340DL (oddly enough they can drift with very little provocation)
Rover 114 SLi (oh dear)
Sierra 2.0 GLXi Auto (Auto box died)
E30 BMW 320i
Rover 100 Knightsbridge (hey, I got made redundant and had to downsize - drastically downsize - and my grandad gave me his for nowt)
Vauxhall Vectra 1.8 Artic (er... I was still skint)
C5 Audi A6 Avant 2.5 TDi Quattro (need 7 seats and didn't fancy an MPV - shockingly bad car though, absolute lemon.)
Volvo V70 D5 Estate (7 seater oil-burning barge, superb seats)

I also haven't had a car for a week and although I haven't really missed it, it has been very inconvenient!

Can't be bothered listing my car history, had about 11 cars in 5 years!

I think Lost has the worst car history in the entire forum :p

I think I might get to win that one!

E Reg 998cc Mini - Great car that went to the big scrap heap in the sky when the engine died during head gasket failure of imense proportions!

1ltr Mini Metro - Can't even remember the reg number or model allthough I'm sure it was bottom of the range I had it less than 6 months before a volvo driving woman destroyed it at some traffic lights!

Rover 115D - Yes thats right a non-turbo diesel metro the ultimate car of fail, the rubishy hydospastic suspension died after two years of ownership.

Vaxhaul Corsa Merrit 1.2l P reg - Bottom of the range corsa that I had for about 4 years and covered over 80K in the thing didn't even have a tape player as standard! Part exed when it got so bad that reverse was practically impossible to engage and the other gears were not much better, plus point in all those years the only money I spent other than servicing was on tyres, an exhaust and a battery and I was recieving a 5k+ a year car allowance!

Ford Mondeo TDCI 130 Zetec - Current car as I finally decided that banger-nomics had reached the end of the line.

Some long lists in this thread! My dad has has an escort,an astra,a bluebird and a laguna in about 25 years! My brother on the other hand swapped a bike for a 2.2 diesel lagauna which snapped its cambelt, sold his new bike to fund a R reg astra 1.7 diesel which then snapped its cambelt aswell. That worked for a while before dumping all its oil and generally breaking.

think i have the worst car history on here :p

1998 fiat punto 1.1 - died after 2 years of ownage
2000 ford fiesta zetec 1.25 - best car ive ever driven :) also current car

i can top that..

1.0 VW Polo (first car, old F reg)
no car during uni
1.8 '97 Vectra LS (this is what I drive now)

I had £9000 saved up for a DC5 / S2000, was saving until I needed a car as I walked to work in that job, but a month before that job finished is when I got ill, so had to use my savings to live on for ~20 months :(, so had to settle for a £100 Vectra.

I've now got around £3000 saved up so far, for when my Vectra dies
