For those using 2008 as a workstation

works like a charm mate :)

on that machine, 2008 std 64 is tons snappier than business sp1 64

machine only has 1gb of ram mind




the only thing that didn't work (had a .net error) was the 'enable wireless service'

but you can add this in manually easily through the 'add features' section of windows 2008 (didn't know this until just now)

I noticed this issue too, its fixed in the current version im working on.

Also i uploaded the language file for the upcoming version 1.1 which will be included in the next version, if someone want to make translation, translate it and send it to my email."

Nice I'll be trying this then.

On my current installation I notice Server 2008 takes a while to load onto the desktop.
 
i've tried 2008 and found no benefit over vista. it even has superfetch disabled by default. no doubt that's the reason people love it because they have 4gb+ free instead of 0 in task manager. :rolleyes:

Thats not why, I have superfetch enabled.
 
I'm pretty sure without superfetch windows is actually slower? Superfetch is one of the things that makes it faster than Windows XP on the desktop?
