hi guys, after running registry mechanic there is an error in my registry that RM couldn't delete... it would be flagged for deletion but would no actually be gone at the end of the process...

i looked it up, and you cant actually delete it manually either, it says that an error occurred during the deletion or something...

i know its insignificant, but its bugging me... how can i force delete it?

Have you tried CCleaner or EasyCleaner?

just tried regvac, and it cleaned out 91 more items (ccleaner, reg mechanic and regvac all seem to clean out different things, i'm suprised i've got any registry left!!!)

anyway, regvac didn't remove the problem one either... it is:

c:\windows\system32\macromedia\flash\flash6.ocx
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{1171A62F-05D2-11D1-83FC-00A0C9089C5A}\InprocServer32

i've never installed any macromedia stuff on this computer its been CS3 from a fresh install so tis a bit weird...

EDIT: heres an interesting point - the file listed above (flash6.ocx) doesnt actually exist, so the problem with that reg entry is obviuosly that its a bad link... if i create a text tile and rename it to flash6.ocx and put it in that dir... the reg cleaners dont see the problem anymore (but i still want to delete it, i'm a neat freak :D) - any ideas?
