It's all about timing. I think I got it after about 20 attempts. Don't know about T-mobile though as I'm on Orange.

ignore the others... No matter how many times you try you won't be able to update your t-mobile omnia 7 atm... AFAIK they haven't released the update for it yet... I'm still waiting to update mine too. Its getting annoying now as tyre are several apps I want that will only run on mango.

thank you - 2 hours and i am bald and no mango not even a friggin raisin !!!

i had mango'd my phone using the other method but didn't want to risk it on my mrs's phone.

i guess if i want to rush it i can always do it via the developers method.

Another group of Samsung Omnia7 owners, a pretty beleaguered group, can breathe a sigh of relief, as T-Mobile UK starts rolling out their Windows Phone 7.5 Mango update to owners on their network.

There is further good news for Omnia 7 owners on T-Mobile however, as it seems the update also comes with WIFI internet sharing.

Samsung’s handsets are the last to receive the update, with Microsoft recently announcing that the update has been made available to 100% of Windows Phone 7 users.

awesome - got the update on m phone and see the wifi sharing option now :) so cool as it's something i've been wanting for ages.

will update the wife's phone tonight and let you know :)
 
Oh come on! It's not like I aren't happy for you guys but my Mango'd Mozart has had a subsequent update and it still doesn't have the Internet Sharing.

I read a story on wpcentral that India had received an update for the Mozart with Internet Sharing enabled, however Hong Kong had not got it. Does anyone know why I'm not seeing it? Is it HTC or Voda who I am with?

Other than that I'll just add that the phone is brilliant (pre and even moreso post Mango), that Internet Sharing is all I'm missing now...

I'm in a similar situation with my LG Optimus 7. The tethering update has been released to loads of carrier specific phones, but not to the open carrier (sim-free) phones like what I've got. :(
 
Just updated to mango! :D

Took a bit of time as i had to cancel it last night.

So as the tethering is enabled does that mean its part of the standard winpho data tarriff...?
 
I don't understand how this all works, I'm in the same situation as Evilpaul though, bought a sim free Mozart and stuck my voda sim in it, no internet sharing for me, maybe it will come in a subsequent update.

I know for a while I've been able to do a hack or something to get it enabled but I am just not messing around with mobiles anymore, I want a genuine update to enable this, I used to have a san fran and the constant messing around with roms completely ruined my experience of android, besides other than this one missing feature I think the Mozart is fantastic, I guess paul and I will just have to keep waiting...

Yeeeeeeesssssssss! Got an update notification last night, updated this morning and I now have Internet Sharing on my Mozart, works a treat too!

Very, very happy now :)
