Hi

Ive noticed that on some games even though I turn on Vsync or set a max framerate my fps still goes above the 75htz of my TFT, causing tearing. Is it worth setting Vsync to forced on in the nVidia control panel, or is it best to leave it up to the game and just put up with it? It works fine in most games (TF2, HL2, etc) yet not in some (Call of Juarez, Age 3, Ninja Reflex's)

I'd say set it in game (if possible) and in the Nvidia control panel, too. I tend to force V-sync, unless running something that is dependent on FPS (3DMark for example).

I do set it in game, its just on some it seems to not work and the frames go above 75. If i set it in game and on the panel will that effect games where it usually works fine?

You can get screen tearing regardless of whether the fps is higher or lower than the screen frequency, at any fps..

Capping your framerate won't disable tearing unfortunately, but enabling vsync should do..

You can force vsync for each game individually through the nvidia control panel if a particular game doesn't have an option to enable it :)

If you force V Sync on games that dont support it normally you may run into issues with input or screen lag. Turning on or forcing tripple buffering will alleviate this tho.

Ok, ill have a go at forcing it through the panel for those games that have it yet dont seem to work, see how I go.
