***FORCEWARE 101.02 WIN2000/XP***

Hmm. I'm having trouble installing them. Run the "setup" which works fine. I then restart and it doesn't pick up the graphics card. So I do it the 'old school' way and I get the following message...

Gfx_Error.jpg

I ran DriverCleaner Pro, etc. So I'm going to try again in Safe Mode and see what happens. Never had an "Access is Denied" message before. :o

Did you use the modded .inf file, from what i have read from here these are only for 8500 +8600 cards without the modded .inf

Apparently the modded .inf is included, it installs fine and picks up the correct card. I managed to get them installed in Safe Mode a second time through. But now I have an empty NV CP. Lol. I will get these installed. I will! :p

@gizmoy2k, I'll try the Overscan thing out once I get these bad boys on. :)

whats so crap about them? I don't seem to have a problem with them, remember though that it is a DX10 designed card and the focus is probably going to be more with Vista DX10 drivers more than XP DX9.

The latest forceware is 97.92 on nVidia website, is this new driver you're speaking about (101.02) third party or something?

It doesn't say where this one is from. Usually they are either beta's or releases from vendors. i.e. EVGA. But this one does not say.

Right... I've re-downloaded them again. I'm going to try starting over and try to get these working.

Read the big thread over at nvnews, ATi know how to do drivers, complete turn around from before the CAT's, used to be ATi that were 'great cards, atrocious drivers', boots on the other foot now, its Nvidia's turn now, about time they got em sorted, the cards have been out about 5 months, old hat already, and still running like crap through no drivers, 2x ******* sets since launch, and they crap, what a complete joke, what use is an 8900/G90 gona be if yer can't run **** all on em properly as the drivers are crap, wanna get the ***** sorted, drivers are more important, ***** are to interested in churning out cards left right and centre to rake the cash in.

They are important, and I know that whilst I have always invested in ATI cards they have always provided very good drivers. I still wouldn't go back to a DX9 card that has slower specifications just because the drivers aren't up to the same standards
