ForceWare 158.27 XP WHQL

I just grabbed the one that's linked by the OP. No issues at all. No difference in 3DMark06 either - stayed at around 12120 for both of them.

Is there any meaningful difference between the US and International versions? Do you guys just grab the US version?

US / International is equivelent for us brits. Since Windows supports all forms of English without complaining, although the International release may possibly have UK spelling.

If you're running a non-English installation of Windows you need the International version, since otherwise you can get driver errors and the like.

so 1:1 pixel mapping does'nt work on win XP?

Bugger, Im buying a new monitor soon and screen size may be dependant upon the ability to use 1:1 mapping on the drives.

I gained 650 points in 3dmark :D

I might give em a go then, see if they get rid of the main menu freeze i keep getting in the Dirt demo, ther'll be some more fixes as well seen as they are a newer set. :)

Can these be installed the proper way, add/remove, then boot in safe-mode, driver cleaner, boot normally install these.

EDIT: You can install em normally, cheers mate. :D

Apparently these are the equivalent for those Quadro drivers that were released before. The 160.02 drivers. So these are the desktop equivalent. At least that's what I read.

So defo worth the change to them as the 160.02 drivers are good. :)

sorry for being ignorant here, but what is 1:1 pixel mapping? everyone keeps going on about it, but i have no clue. I guess as ive never known what is is, ive never missed it

Just installed these, running fine, still get the Dirt demo main menu freeze for a couple of secs now and again though, but games are running great still so will be keeping these. :)

I think it's when you go to a lower resolution than the monitor's native one, and the card gives black borders instead of stretching the image. I could be horribly wrong.

Its getting beyond a joke as far as the scaling issue goes  Wish they would just get it fixed

Doesn't the overscan patch (posted a week or so back) work for you?

I'm getting black bars on my games now that the nvidia scaling option stays on.

Thanks. I'm running the standard English version of XP so I'll grab 158.27.

Newer. I'm pretty sure the 160's didn't pass beta so they went back some.
i wonder about nvidia sometimes, instead of doing the sensible thing and incrementing driver numbers they go back!

for normal companies, newer drivers = high version number, why the confusion with newer drivers having older version numbers than older beta drivers, regardless if they passed beta or not.
