Yeah nvidia should make the cards for ATi, and ATi can do the drivers. :D

I find it hilarious that we have crap Dx10 performance now in the likes of COJ, Lost Planet etc... getting poor 30+ frames as the driver are still shoddy, yet everyone still thinks when Crysis comes out in September suddenly the drivers are gona be absolutely awesome, Dx10 performance will fly 60+ fps, ATi/Nvidia will just go BOOM here you go at the same time it hits and release a single miracle driver, yeah right, Nvidia have just pulled theirs as they probably ******* broke Dx10, now you still think were going to get that single miracle driver when Crysis hits then in a couple of months, i think not. :D

Well, they did break DX10 in this driver - not tha tit was working well, but now it's not working much at all.

Have to say, don't think there will be anything like a miracle driver update when Crysis somes out. However, I do think that the game will be well optimised and tested.

While what we have currnetly in the way of DX10 is either a port from console, or a makeover of a DX9 game, Crysis is being developed with both DX9 and DX10 in mind, and DX10 is not just an afterthought. So there is a strong possibility it will run well in DX10.

But hell, who cares? If it does not run well in DX10 mode I will happily play it in DX9 mode. Same as I am doing with Company of heroes.

I was aiming to but lost planet no longer runs with these drivers, I have gained 200 points in 3dmark 06 which means my score is now only ~200 behind my xp score of 9600

Vista 64, Opteron [email protected], 8800gts 640mb @ 648/2ghz

Thats weird as they claim fixes for Lost Planet and one of 1st peeps to post in this thread said he got gains of 10fps in that game and a few others cant run it now, wonder if you all have same type cards ie 8000's or 7000's.

Im using XP though, so maybe thats why, most people with problems are trying to run DX10 versions, whereas i'm not

I think I got a couple fps improvement in XP for stalker, havent tried anyhting else yet, gonna try Lost Planet now now.

Well I just tried Lost Planet, everyhing seems ok, Snow and Average are lower than when I tried it on my 3700+ 1gb ram rig, but on that I got 23 in the cave, now I get 54fps in the cave, was very surprised, but the cave part looks super CPU intensive.

I has Lost Planet on highest settigns you can have and 8xAA/AF.



As far as 3DMark06 goes, I seem to have lost around 300points, I got 11400 previously, now I only get 11100, going to tweak my ram some more to see if thats why, doubt it is tho.

I would do a video but my camera wont last that long and my mobile phone quality is crap.


But I tried it again and this time I got 11442 or 3, so gained about 42 points :P
 
Yeah i wouldn't be suprised if when Crysis comes out it runs about 30-40fps and sometimes drops into the teens in Dx10 tbh, yet will run great in Dx9, it will take months after its release for the drivers to mature more so it runs better, look at Dx9 under Vista, Vista's been out since January (about 5 months now) and its still slower than XP, and Dx9 games have been around for years, yet still ppl are expecting once a single Dx10 game hits its going to run absolutely fantastic in Dx10 from day 1 of its release.

x64 professional 158.22 to these 162.15's gives me a boost from 11051 points all the way to.......
