Forcing programs to use a specific sound channel

Is it possible to force programs to use a specific sound channel? For example, can I tell Spotify to only 'transmit' over the rear speakers, whilst every other program just uses the front 2?

You need multi channel sound card to do that. Unless your soundcard sees different speaker ports as separate devices you won't be able to do it. i am not aware of any software that can do that. I have esi maya 44 which is old now, but that has multiple channels and i can do speakers on one cable and headphones on another.
