Forcing second monitor display resolution

Hi all,

I've been using a projection software for a number of years now with dual monitor support.

The problem is however that it only has 800x600 or 1024x768 options as an output for the second monitor.

Is there any way I can force that output to stretch/fit to whatever I'm connected to instead of filling the top left corner and then painting everything else white? It just looks terrible when I have to connect to a widescreen projector. :(

I even tried looking for the hex code in the exe... but I don't think it is that easy. :D

What does the software do? Someone can probably recommend an alternative that isn't from the past.

It's for the display of song words from a database.

At the minute I am on SongPro 3 but I've tried -

OpenLP, FreeWorship, ScreenMonkey, EasyWorship, VideoPsalm, EasyWorship, ZionWorx and even SongPro 5.

Just happy where I am really but I'd like a higher screen resolution (the interface on SongPro 5 is not to my taste). :)

To be honest it doesn't sound like a limitation of the software you are using - are you saying that you can only pick 800x600 or 1024x768 as the resolution for the Windows desktop?

Is it a VGA connection or a digital (DVI/HDMI) one?

It's a VGA but the options for the software show this -

That's why I hoped to software override it somehow. :)

Windows will allow you to use your normal default resolution, as per the example here on my laptop -
