Absolutely awesome car!!! i just went in my friends new one... Obsurd acceleration for such a small hatch. Blows the MGZR out of the water. What are your thoughts on this car?

Nice warm hatch. Clio 182 is better. Acceleration not absurd.

I would have thought so, as it's cheap plastic and flimsey BUT 160bhp, whereas the Fiesta is newer, heavier and 150bhp.

the thing is i always think that whatever the fiesta looks like now, will be what looks really really pants (or understated?

) in 3-4 years or less

Fox, Parkers says 7.9 for the ST. Any truth in this?

disclaimer 0-60 is not be all and end all etc etc!

fiesta 7.8
1.8 zr 8.5
1.8 zr vvc 7.5

whole horde of hothatch cars around 6.5 or so that would feel much faster i'd have thought.

yea thats about right i think. I'd say nippy rather than quick.

They are pretty slow for a 2 litre small hatch.

had a play with one the other day in my Swift Sport, not the fastest of two litres.... Gave him a run for his money in my mighty 1.6

seen a few focus st's lately pulling onto the motorway off slip roads and they certainly "do" shift

totally different kettle of fish to the fiesta ST.

I found it to be a bland drive, no real involvement, no real speed, nothing particularly endearing about anything to do with it infact.

Guess they don't sound too bad.

As with most 'performance' Fords, not great out the box but very good potential when you mod them...although I spose you could say that about most things

They have potential for sprucing up the handling, but other than that, I agree with fox, You might be able to push the envelope from the 150bhp to 170-180, but after that you're looking at serious money or FI.
