Car - 2001 Ford Focus 5dr with central locking and electric front windows with no alarm.
Had this issue on my focu for ages - central locking on passenger door is intermittent. gets worse in cold weather - hasnt worked since about December until now.
Issue is when it doesn't work i can't open the door/unlock it - this is because there is no key hole to manually unlock it and unlocking inside the car is impossible as it is solid - like it's seized, but it's not.
What i was thinking - as a temporary measure to use the door - is to cut the wires from car to the door which would then stop the central locking working and 'should' allow me to operate it manually from inside the car (or take the door panel off and disconnect the wires to the central locking motor)
Am i right in thinking this?
It's weird how when the drivers door or the back doors are locked i can unlock them from the inside no problem and open it so i'm thinking the issue won't be that easy?
If it is - what colours will be the wires as i might just chop to avoid hassle and then reconnect them when i get it sorted.
