Ford Focus styling help

Hi,

I'm looking for your opinions on a few bits I'm going to buy for my focus. I have a 2000 (x reg) black focus Zetec with orange side/ front repeaters and i want to swap these with either smoked, crystal black or clear. At the moment I'm swaying toward clear and have found this on ebay:

Also i want to get some car mats, can anyone recommend some decent ones?.

For some reason my focus Zetec didn't come with any Zetec badges on the side so Ive just fit some today :). The rear just has the focus badge on the left would it look ott if i put a Zetec badge on the right hand side?.

Ive also fit a new rear plate as the one that came with it was manky, looked loads better with that simple cheap fix.

I'll get some pics when Ive managed to give it a wash along with the de-tango.

I bought some 'RS' style clear indicators for my Focus. Personally, I think the ones you linked are a bit 'blingy'. I went for the RS ones because I was after a cleaner look, but nothing too outstanding. Mines silver though, crystal clear may suit black better.

Car mats? Bam. About £25 quid delivered for all four. Not a bad price, got them for mine. Much easier to take them out and clean them rather than ruin the floor lining.

As for the rear badging, I'd say don't do it. Mine just has the 'focus' badge too, which is fine. I think adding more badges would look a little silly as it's not exactly a prestige to show off ("Oh wow, that dude's driving an LX! Check him out!"). That's a matter of personal opinion though.

LOL, yeah i know what you mean, its just i bought 3 badges off the bay as they came as a set, not bad for £6 :cool:.

Have you got a picture of the side repeaters you have fit to your car?. Are they similar to these:

I think I'll give the clear ones a miss as i just realized I'll need chrome bulbs. So its between smoked and frosted now.

Thats that sorted, looks much better than orange :). Can you remember where you got them from?.

Are the side repeaters easy to get off?, I just tried to get it off but it didn't budge and i didn't want to push it up to hard as it could scratch the paint.

The side repeaters I bought new form the Ford Parts site: http://www.fordpartsuk.com/shop/products.php?id=31

I bought the clear indicators from Ebay....second hand and a little tatty if Im honest, but looked OK once they were fitted. I don't have a picture of my car with them, but its basically the same as Danny's (Very clean looking example I might add) without the foglights, and my mirror covers are black.

Removing the side indicators is a doddle...just push them down and they unclip. You might need something to pry them out with but be VERY careful of the paintwork...use a flat blade screwdriver with a cloth or something wrapped round it. A quick Google should find a guide somewhere.

Don't use a flat blade screwdriver whatever you do, Use a credit card and wedge it in the top to undo the little clip they will come out pretty easy this way.
 
As for other styling options go, consider the Ford Focus Collection exhaust trim, just tidies up the back a bit more.

I actually like the others more than the "RS" ones. But i don't know if they would match in with the fogs and headlights.
 
Thanks for your opinions and help guys :). Just ordered that Ford mat set and clear side repeaters from the ford part shop and got them RS front repeaters.

I'll hopefully get it all sorted by next weekend and if its not raining I'll try and get some decent pics.
