Ford Galaxy owners: I need you help!

Eveing people,

I've got a 2001 silver Ford Galaxy and am struggling to find the paint code or name. I've look on the log book and it ain't there. Tried to llok for a vin plate with it on but no luck.

So anyone know how to find it? or where abouts on the car it will say?

halfords do it, just tell them the car details and they can use a matcher thing against the car, had it done to mine once.

Not on the door by any chance, or below where the door latches itself closed, on the car itself.

Went to my local halfords and they need either the paint code or name. Look all over the car ie doors, latches etc but to no joy

ii) My car is a navy metallic - any idea what this blue is called so I can buy a touch up stick? (I will get the paint code from under the bonnet at some point)

Granted, it is for an 05 Galaxy, but worth a try?

I am trying to get some paint made up in this colour, so went to a ford dealer (ohh the pain) and asked for the paint code, all he told me was GY, and on the plate in the engine bay it says the same, but this is not enough info for the paint guys.

Also might be of some help i hope?
