Just for anyone who hasnt seen the new 2007 Mondeo I thought i would post pictures (i couldnt find any on this forum) They had 3 parked up outside Allen Ford in Swindon when i went over today.

I was told its due for release this weekend, and they have an awful lot of preorders.

Sorry the pics are not great, I took them with my phone.

Andy

I didn't know there was a ford dealership in swindon

must be blind.

Still looks pretty good actually imo, looked nice in that james bond film too....if a little out of character with the film.

I've seen a couple on the road in the last 2-3weeks. Had a silver one come up past me had to double take to work out what it was.

Look good from the front - not convinced about the back though.

Lets hope that the airbags work in the new Mondeo and that it doesn't automatically launch into a huge crash the first time you try to avoid something in the road.

Allen Ford over west Swindon, Oppersite Pizza Hut and Asda!

I think it looks a lot better then the Bland MK3.

The rear looks similar to the new laguna....the lights anyway.

Maybe not... :o

It certainly managed to make the old model look dated!

Even cheaper Mk3 Mondeos, coming to the used market near you soon! :)

St220 for me please.....well my dad. A black ST220 with about 50k on the clock will do him even if i have to keep the paint looking good since he wont. :)

i think (i hope!) he is making a sarcastic comment aimed towards the crashing of the DBS in Casino Royale

an accident so stupid that it would just never have happened and was totally for TVs sake. At least in bond movies of past they made the accidents semi realistic.

the same movie that bond drives the new modeo as a hire car ?

oh and has anybody seen any proper pics of the new mondeo ST ?? its reportedly going to have a 3l turbo charged straight 6 with 250bhp and called the ST250

but the only photos ive seen seem to have been of the Mondeo 2.5 that features the 2.5l turbo 5 cylinder engine from the Ford Focus ST

Looks like I sold my Mk3 at just the right time :D,

6 months problem-free motoring plus 100% profit on the car - not too bad! ;) (special circumstances - clearly!)

I didn't think they'd announced a new Mondeo ST yet?
Like you the only 'hot' Mondeo I've heard about is the one which has the Focus ST engine.

I had heard rumours that they would be putting Jaguar's 2.7l twin turbo diesel engine into the new Mondeo at some point though. That could be interesting!

we had one at work from ford. a Tdci zetec. Was trying to blag the keys but all one of the directors decied to take it :(

they've not "announced" it as such

its just rumours at the moment.

but the 2.5T engine from the ST is just being sold as the Mondeo 2.5

so if there is a "hot" version of the mondeo. it wont be with the Focus ST engine.

I have been in a couple of these at different dealerships, the edge is aimed at fleet cars really and nothing more, the Titanium is very nice, the Ghia as usual has some wood in it, and really doesnt work for me, I've also been in the Zetec and thats quite nice.

Both the zetec and the ghia have decent levels of equipment for cars of its class, I guess it just depends on whether you lean towards firm and sporty or softer and a bit more luxurious (i.e. horrible wood and nasty seats :p ...although thats just my opinion)

There doesnt seem to be anymore room in the back but the boot looks quite a bit bigger.

My dad had slight problems with the driving position, in particular the gear stick location, however I found it fine.

One final thought, after having seen the Titanium, other models without xenons just look weird with big sheets of empty glass.
