Forefront

Looks good this imo, not sure if that video is PCVR or standalone, the game play looks and sounds good, yep very like Battlefield in VR, used to play that game a lot on a monitor.

A decent battlefield game in VR?

Shut up and take my money!

I used to be in a BF1942 and BF2 clan and it was an incredible feeling when everything clicked and you worked together as a cohesive team.

I flew air support, and have fond memories of being called in to a base that was under attack by a tank and dive bombing it in the nick of time, or flying a transport chopper in BF2 and dropping off troops at the control points to capture them and winning the match in about 5 mins.

Your post brings back fond memories of BF2 multiplayer, the best multiplayer experience I've ever had tbh and that includes multiplayer on a different game with friends, everything about BF2 multiplayer just clicked for me, this new game looks to have similar ingredients

it looks to have low specs, so i might be able try it

MINIMUM:
Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
OS: Windows 10 (64bit)
PROCESSOR: Intel Core i5-4590 / AMD FX 8350 or greater
MEMORY: 8 GB RAM
GRAPHICS: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970, AMD Radeon R9 290 equivalent or better
NETWORK: Broadband Internet connection
STORAGE: 3 GB available space
VR SUPPORT: SteamVR, Oculus Touch/Valve Index controllers or better (No HTC wands support)

Played this for a bit on PC.
It's quite chaotic, and I died loads of times and hardly shot anyone. (As usual then!)

Head movement feels juddery. Graphics are very basic (essentially Quest 3, but obviously sharper).

Didn't get a chance to try out most of the vehicles.

Seems fun. No real hassle playing with Randoms who behaved well and wanted to play properly.

Biggest issue for me was the juddery head motion. Otherwise it worked well.

This goes into early access today from beta https://store.steampowered.com/app/2981220/Forefront/

I think this looks amazing, would love to play it multiplayer but half the fun in that is playing with people who are not absolute strangers!

Is anyone here up for it? (sorry LostCorpse I know I let the side down recently with multiplayer for the Starvault MOBA game, I just spend all my spare time either working on my app or using it/testing it but I think this game here would absolutely be able to get my a$$ into gear and actually do a multiplayer), it's from the same people who did Breachers and that's a great game. It's not free though, worth every penny if it's as fun as it looks?

I'm up for it if I can drag myself away from Arc Raiders. Though last time I tried forefront I died so many times. I wasn't very good at it!

We'd be the worst performing team imaginable probably  I bet it's still fun though?

I must admit even though I don't mind not coming anywhere in the rankings when playing multiplayer, I recall first playing BF2 back in the day and literally getting zero kills for what seemed like forever, it was quite disheartening. Became quite good at it in the end, would fairly often place in the top 3 or 4 on the server.

Uses Kernel Level Anti-Cheat
Easy Anti-Cheat - Requires manual removal after game uninstall

puts me off tbh, i understand why but it also means its harder to play on linux as example

dont worry re SV things fell apart on the day anyway. do what you luv doing :)

Ah ok, I can see your point. Does this sort of game appeal to you (it's fine if it doesn't )? Did you ever play Battlefield back in the day? I watched some of the footage and it looks so much like BF2 but in VR, I enjoyed BF2 so much. I do love working on my app, love gaming as well and don't do enough of it. Forefronts price will be known in about 2 hours, hope it's not $50 or something.
