Forefront

£20 with 10% discount its down to £18
reasonable

i can see it needing a bit of time investment.

im not sure the vehicle controls will be great.

@Tykey i played various BF games and enjoyed them in past, i also played planetside 1 and 2 with fond memories.

i can probably play this on my old optiplex with a 1650 looking at the spec. so will consider.

looking for some feed back from here as well though

I'm not sure a laptop 1650 would run it well tbh, aren't laptop GPU's supposed to be half the power of the same desktop GPU?
I've just bought it on standalone, have a referral if anyone wants 15% off. Will post on here my thoughts about it. Can always refund it if its carp but I doubt it is.

its a desktop GPU 1650 LowProfile version i have so a little better than the laptop version

im not expecting great performance but that little card has done me proud! and its a right little trooper, and lasted far longer than i thought it would.

ow i might get it on Oculus then, i didnt see the link for it. will think over weekend direction. still leaning PC though

I bought it on Meta, since I had $10 meta credit that was about to expire. If anyone needs a referral, I think I can give them again now.

I'll get it on PC as I really don't like the relatively low resolution and performance issues you get on Quest. Very few games seem optimized recently.

I know what you mean, but I also know that my PC won't run it much better, and chances are, I won't use it if it's pcvr only anyway.

It looks like Meta have stopped insisting on crossbuy too, doesn't seem to have a pcvr version on the meta store.

I've refunded it on Meta and bought it on Steam, seen a screen cap on Reddit of what the devs plan to upgrade on the PCVR version, there were some nice sounding things, just hope they do them. Not played it yet. Disappointed no bots to practise against, they are planned afaik.

Had an issue pop up when I tried to run it, something about not being logged in, will re-install and try again tomorrow hopefully.

Played a bit of this after mini golf. Took a bit of time and questions to get going but it was good. Obviously need to grind to get better gear, but I was getting kills.

I found no sights shooting and using the tracers the best way.

by most accounts its pretty positive. we should may be try for squad or something some time.
i'll look forward to bots so i can practice the game, but by the time they do i'll prob not need them.

Been playing it almost every night since launch. It's great, like Battlefield when it was good but now in VR. Even the maps are based on some classic/good BF maps.

You only need 10 kills to unlock the red dot sight and then it's much easier.

I unlocked the red dot yesterday. I'll give t it a go, but still suspect no sight and rely on tracers will be my go-to.

Need to practice my sniper game play a bit. Think it may be a better class potentially for me. Not sure if there's genuine bullet drop or travel time though. Travel time with tracers seems like it exists.

Red dot is definitely an improvement!

Working as a team is massively important, and I'm seeing the strength of running a mixed group with at least 1 engineer and medic, recon not so sure (but haven't played too much with that so could be missing something huge).

I really like the spawn on squadmate feature (squad as in the small team you are in within the larger team overall), great way to help keep you together, and even encourage you to take cover when in a dangerous area, just hold on until you can get players spawning in on you.

Using different triggers to grab things is confusing me a bit though. Died a couple of times trying to parachute but using index triggers instead of grip, and wasted time trying to pull out a mag by trying to grab it with grip instead of index etc.

Really enjoying this. Getting a good squad in your team makes a big difference, especially when you start coordinating well. Vehicles are enjoyable, you feel tough in a tank, but very aware that 3 shots from an RPG and you're dead.

So far still feeling most confident with the starting weapons, which is good, I'd have hated it if the unlocked weapons were significantly stronger. The addons to the guns do make a difference to accuracy etc, but again, from the first to the 3rd/4th that I've got to, it's not an enormous change.

Still prefer the conquest map type, feels more forgiving in terms of having a poor team. Still going to lose, but in a less depressing manner :D
