moody, cheers for the list. I got OldBoy the other week off a mate. It was fantastic. I was really tired but it was good enough for me to stay up and watch. I didn't expect the twist at the end though

Special features were pretty good too. Especially when they showed how one of the fight scenes was done in ONE take!

No mention of La Vita Bella yet?
It won an oscar. Funniest film about the holocaust I've seen.

More votes for Taxi, La Haine.

Also No Mans Land (about the balkan conflict) and Mr Vampire (Almost defies description but broadly kung fu) and for anime try Spriggan or Laputa:the Catle in the Sky.

If you enjoyed Oldboy definitely get both Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance and
Joint Security Area. Both from the same director. Sympathy and oldboy are part of his vengeance trilogy. The third movie should be out with English subtitles soon, Sympathy for Lady Vengeance.

Also definitely check out a Bittersweet Life. Very similar to Oldboy in terms of the fight scenes but just as good. Was one of my favourite movies of last year.

Ong-Bak is a superb fighting film, so is Kung Fu Hustle, and if you like Ziyi Zhang then go for House of Flying daggers and Crouching Tiger Hidden.......

Some of the earlier Jackie Chan films are much better than the newer ones today, plus don't for get the Bruce Lee series ;)

Seriously though, I must have THE most extensive list to last me for a damn long time. Not to mention a whole in my pocket as big as that in the ozone layer
