forgot log in password (help)

hey guys.
dug out an old laptop at work we havent used for ages and
we dont know the log in password.

how do we bypass it please?

What O/S is it? There are programs online which help make a boot disk and let you change the local administrator passwords and such.

A fair few of them you have to pay for now but there might be others. Has worked for me in the past.

If you google a little bit you'll be able to find some software to do it.
