Forgot to create an "over-provision" partition

Heya guys, as per title I forgot to leave an extra provision partition for my ssd to help keep things optimised. It warns me that partitioning an ssd might destroy data. Can I safely partition without having to reinstall windows / some programmes? Do I really need an extra partition?

Ssd is a Samsung 830

It's down to personal preference.

SSDs aren't usually big enough to make it worthwhile.
