Formac monitors any good??

are the formac 20.1" 1600x1200 12ms panels any good?

formac 2010 extreme gallery 20.1" is the proper name of it.

£340 incl vat seems amazing for the spec, and it looks great.

anyone know anything about the brand?

Think Apple used them for their monitors a while back so can't be that bad.

Myself and another member (yooaintseenme I think) bought these when they were first released a few years back. They're good screens, well specified and look nice but they suffer from a few little issues (which may be resolved now but I don't know). First off if the screen was used in very warm conditions, even a hot summers day in England you could get a strange coloured ghosting effect, green or purple if I remember rightly. Secondly my 2 at least, were notoriously bad for powering on and detecting a signal from the graphics cards, it's a well documented problem too when used with PC's.
