Hello,

I have a 200gb HDD which i want to format so everything is running smoothly. However i cannot seem to do it nor know how to please can you point me in the correct direction?

I am currently running WMCE 2005 although i would like to switch back to XP Home although if there is a way to restore an keep this OS then i dont mind

thanks

Is it your primary drive (containing OS)? If so you'll have to boot from floppy or CD and use a format utility. You can do this with a windows boot disk and the 'format' command. Alternatively you can grab a copy of DBAN or Partition Magic (Google them) and boot to those to do a proper format.

You may need your motherboard SATA drivers on a floppy disk for installing Windows XP Home if the setup facility doesn't see your drive. I've never had a problem, AFAIK it's mostly for RAID controllers.
