format 80gb as fat32

I'm trying to format my USB HDD as fat32 because I'd like to be able to plug it into my PS3 and have movies I've converted from DVD on it.

I know I can't do this in windows because it's too big so I've downloaded a bit of software called Swissknife v3 to use.

This software claimed to format it (took ages) and it still shows as NTFS in properties.

Anyone know if there is another free ware utility that will actually help me achieve what I'm trying to do?

IF this works I intend to get a 1tb drive and do the same, but this isn't working so far :/

Try it in the ps3 anyway, when i bought my external hdd, it said NTFS in windows, but it works with my xbox too.

I tried it and 3 folders show up with gobbledeeegoop (sp? lol) names. Despite it having just bd formatted :confused:

I'm sure the HP USB Drive Format Tool with let you format large drives as FAT32.

fat32format.exe worked for me in the end

fat32 formatter 1.1 didn't work.
