Format Frequency?

Just wondered how often you guys formatted your windows to ensure it doesnt get clogged up with rubbish over time? I remember reading somewhere that one person would reformat once every 6 months.
 
Every 18 months or so give or take a bit, my system needs doing at the moment but I never seem to get round to doing it :p

People still do this? I used to do it about every 12 months with xp but my vista install lasted 3 years with no issues and my 7 install is a good 18 months old and I'm not even remotely considering it yet.
 
I used to do it once every 3-4 months with XP, but I've been on this Win7 install for nearly a year. Only do it if you need to.
 
Only when ut doesnt work or I change something major .... 2 years I think for my last install (changed mobo/cpu/gfx card)
 
Only when I have to. Too lazy to wait for all the driver installs, updates and software after that. And then customizing it to the way I had it exactly before.
 
I'm with bledd on this, I only do it when I have to. I'll be doing it this week but only because I want to try out Windows 8 and muck about with my SSDs etc.
 
When I am required to by a hardware upgrade. Don't do it for the sake of it. Worst case scenario if I am forced to I have a good clean image of my OS partition to restore from.
 
Whenever I feel like it :p I'll be doing it in a few days as I had to install some software for university work that I don't want on my system anymore, might as well do a spring clean while I'm at it.
 
Usually annually, even with W7.

Mine needs doing now as it's really slow atm, ccleaner, defreg, etc, hasn't helped.

Pointless doing it now though, as I'll be getting a SSD soon.
