Format/wipe HDDs without PSU/monitor

I have a PC.
It's dead (needs new PSU)
Need to send it to someone (sold it).
Need to format/wipe HDDs.
Possible? without taking out and installing into new machine?

If your PSU is dead how would you power up the drives to erase them?

just plug it into someone else's pc via a caddy and do it that way.

I thought there might be a clever thing I could do with jumpers or something?!

Nevermind, I've hooked them up to a different PC.
