Formatting a SSD in Asus bios gives me these options, which do I use? Will just be used for gaming and general use.
Bytes are bigger than bits (8 bits to the byte) and B is bigger than b is a reasonably easy way to remember it. Although, arguably, it should be KB rather than kB where K is 2^10 (i.e 1024) and k is 1000.Like Donnie said just let Windows format it.
If you want to be nerdy about it, and who doesn't, 512B (upper-case B because lower-case would be bits not bytes) is a legacy cluster size while 4kB (again bytes not bits ) is a more modern cluster size. I say modern but drives started transitioning to what's called Advanced Format just over a decade ago.
I hope I've got my upper and lower case B's, my bits and bytes, correct because if not I've just made myself look stupid.
