formatting system with no optical drive

im thinking of wiping my drives and doing a fresh install but as the title says, I have no optical drive. how would I do the wipe without one?

I have a usb stick with which I could use to install windows fresh again but I don't have my windows 8 on the stick. would I have to buy a copy and put it on that or would it be possible to get a download with my rig still under warranty?

one last thing to point out, all my games are digital (derp) and I use uplay , steam and origin. all my saves and such are stored online right?

you should be able to do this from within your OEM windows build.

I don't want to do that if it is possible, I think I have a virus on my pc but nothing shows up on scans. when I got the rig it was lightning fast to boot up. it is still fast but there has been a conciderable drop in boot time. my main concern with your suggestion is that the virus may be transferred to the usb install.
