Former PC gamers

Interesting thread this because lately ive been bored of gaming/les time and kept getting the urge to just go back to consoles and play when i want, half hour here n there more casually. But its really hard to go back to console from PC i feel, graphics etc it just feels bad, maybe i just need to man up and get used to it!

I started gaming on a PC when I got a C64 for Christmas as a kid. When my brother bought a Megadrive, we started playing on that and I've stuck with consoles ever since. I currently play on a PS3 and also have a Wii (but that rarely gets used apart from Mario Kart :D ) Bought an Xbox last year, but never used it and it went to a better home.

Been very tempted to buy a PC lately. My boyfriend is a PC gamer and he's been "selling me" the benefits of PC gaming. However I'll more than likely buy a PS4 on release and stick with consoles :)

I have always had both pc and console but I mainly play on console now , although of late I have got a little bored of gaming in general as nothing seems to hold my attention for long.

I did have a gaming pc but sold it due to not having enough room for it and at times it was just not being used , I now wish I had it still as my current pc can not handle any decent graphic heavy games.

My best gaming memories were on the pc , I remember playing c&c red alert , Delta force series , operation flashpoint.

I played 360 a lot when it first came out due to me not having much money for new PC components, and when I got a decent PC, I would still play 360 for like 6 months or so and PC.

Basically I alternate between consoles and PC however I recently (before xmas) sold my 360 for a PS3 again for the exclusives and the free online, didn't want to pay MS for adverts anymore.

most mixed up post i've seen recently

I much prefer PC gaming as I'm an FPS fan... However, it takes me so long to complete a game 2-4 weeks that I simply cannot justify the expense of upgrading my 7 year old PC to a level where I could play the latest games on it.. I had though about it, but due to the cost it would be very poor value for money for me so I'll probably stick with my PS3.

I have both, and I have quite a few games on Steam but I can rarely be bothered to get a mouse and mousepad out and sit at the desk to play games. Sure the graphics may not be as good, but I'd rather just sit in a comfy place with a huge TV in front of me and relax.

I used to be a hardcore PC gamer - but ended up selling my rig to pay for an epic holiday before going back to uni (bought a half decent laptop with the change). Planned to replace the rig after finishing my course, but life is never that simple! Met a girl, had a little'un and time (and money) became rather... scarce, so now I almost exclusively play on my PS3 (although the laptop can run older games like Supcomm, Borderlands, L4D etc, so occasionally play those online with friends). PS3 has the advantage I can have my son asleep on me while I play (Skyrim is great for getting him to sleep :p).

Now he's started going to bed earlier, and sleeping through the night, I've got a bit more time, plus buying a house in the next couple of weeks, so I'm planning on "requisitioning" a corner of the spare bedroom for a decent PC, as much as I enjoy gaming on the PS3 is, it's no competition - been trying to play through STALKER on my laptop again, but doesn't have the same atmosphere on a 15" screen with the settings on minimum ;)

Yeah, I feel that my rig is waaaaaaay to big for my current flat. I can imagine kids would have a massive impact on the gaming and of course take priority. I do feel a console would be better in this case. I've always gamed on both myself and can't imagine not having a console but there has been periods of my life when PC has just not been an option.

Exclusively gamed on the PC for Donkey's years, roughly '93 till probably 2009 or so, tailing off as real life (tm) took over.

More and more mates moved onto Xbox / Ps3, I ended up doing the same thing, albeit later than most and stuck with it, more out of convenience.

Hell the only game I play on the PC these days is rFactor (F1 2012 mod) with a gang of online mates i've played with for years, once a week for a couple of hours. Xbox any other time, couple of nights a week.

I ended up selling my aging PC for parts when my wife was pregnant, turned my man cave into a nursery. I do miss my PC but with work and a 5 month old, gaming time is pretty much non existent. I own a PS3, but I'll get a new build my little one gets a little older, I enjoy the short bursts of play but it doesn't compare to the experience you can get on a PC, recently got Bioshock Infinite for my birthday and I can't aim for **** with a controller!
