Only due to wet weather and less so reliability.
If we had all dry races it would have been pretty boring.
They so need to restrict aero and unleash engine and other mechanical/speed development.

A driver who pushed harder for longer should beat someone who pushed hard for less time. Trouble is, under the current rules, that doesnt work.
Just look at Hamilton in Melbourne. He pushed right to the end as he took a second pit stop, yet still finished behind a load of people who just cruised to the end of the race because even pushing like he was, it didnt cover the 30 seconds he lost in the pits.
I think every F1 driver would agree they are not pushing as hard for as long this year as they were last year. Usually the "turning down of the wick" happened after the final pit stop, around 2/3 way through, if at all. Now, its happening after only 10 laps!
