Formula 1 Testing - 20 pics

Im at the F1 this weekend and want to get one or two that I can be happy with.
Are you also going on Friday or Saturday?
If so then get up close to the fences to shoot through them. Club corner is a good spot to get both panning and close up shots - see some of my shots below.

If you're only on Sunday then forget trying to get good photos as it'll be much too busy and just enjoy the race.

There both Sat and Sun :D
Nice pics :]

Thats the correct technique, start high with a 1/500th shutter speed and work youre way down aiming to get to about 1/150th, using the same "panning" with the cars technique and im sure you manage some great captures. :)

Cool :D will have a good play tomorrow and Fri to get some practice shots on random cars :]

A UV, as long as its a good quality one does very very little to the image, if you use a cheapo one then youll get a noticable drop in IQ, on my 2 smaller lenses I keep a Hoya Pro1D UV filter on at all times, simply to protect the front element of the lens.

Cool, will have to pick one of those us as well. Just got Jessops to drop the price on a 70-300 by £35 as cant get one online in time for Friday morning.
