Formula One night race

How would this work though? F1 cars have no lights... so the track would need to be lit, therefore making it like day time, and so there's no point?! :p

Sounds fun though, but only if they work it out in a way that doesn't involve the entire track being lit to daylight levels!

LOL Matt
The track will be lit to daylight levels for safety reasons.
The whole point of a night race is not to give drivers the challenge of driving in the dark but to enable more races in the season and give Europe the chance to watch them at a decent time.

No! They should make it proper night racing like Le Mans! :p

But I like getting up at stupid o clock to watch the races for those few times a season. No really I do. Its all part of the sport.
I did like the maglite stuck to their helmets though, theres probably someone out there right now, designing a streamlined light to go on their helmets that will cut down the drag yet still light the way :D

if it means we can watch it at reasonable times then great

if it means theyl be going even slower then :( , wish theyd ease of on some of the rules to make it a bit more intresting

i mean it would be obviously still allot safer than the likes of moto GP even if they did remove some of the restrictions

This would affect the track and air temperature, right? So it would be cooler?Which means the cars will have more grip and be slightly better aspirated?
