Fortune Tellers etc - Do You Believe?

Well instead of sitting here like a keyboard warrior:p...why dont you go and see one and put your money where your mouth is;):p

I'd rather keep my money thanks, don't feel that strongly about it. But given the opportunity it would be an interesting dialogue.

Besides I'm far too busy threatening people online.

I have but theres no point in telling anyone about is as i would invariably be laughed at.
Plus the one i went to see is more of a 'Peer' type of a person rather than a palm reader...

You mean you had a positive experience or a negative one?

I am not sure I could vouch for the others, but I doubt I would mock...

I do actually believe although there are loads of fakes out there, there is still some good fortune tellers. I've never had my palm read however I would consider it should the opportunity arise.

My mother is a great believer in it and used to get her palm read by an old lady in a mental institute  while she was in visiting an aunt. She didn't charge any money or make a big deal out of her ability, infact hardly anyone knew about it. The best thing is she didn't know my mum at all and my great aunt wouldn't have been able to tell her anything about the family.

Some of the things she said that were true,

she said we would be moving to a red brick house very shortly. We had no plans of moving what so ever then a week later a family friend offered to buy and rent a large red bricked house to us which we did eventually move to.

She said your ownly daughter will be moving across the water within the next few months (not knowing my mum only has one daughter) and my sister did move away to college for two years a few weeks later.

Your Children will all be very successful and one will become very sporty several years down the line (again not knowing of my brothers and sister). So far all 6 of us have either graduated from university, are still there or are starting in September and we are all quite successful. My 3rd eldest brother has just recently became very sporty doing several tri-atholons, playing football and that which several years ago we would have said no chance.

There were several other things she said that actually came true and my mother always made a point of not telling her anything about her or the family so that she could believe what she said. I know that some of the things she said could be quite general but they were still very accurate considering the mental status of this woman. Other fortune tellers my mum has seen have not been so accurate but one said that a family member would be involved in a car crash very shortly and sure enough my aunt crashed her car the next day! So to all of you who don't believe, go and have it done if only for a bit of fun, you never know what might come true :)

Hehe i can see that BrenOS:p. but i can sympathise with you as well..some of them are just con artists...hell with a little bit of practise im sure i could read someones palm as well and make myself a nice little earner :p

Personally I don't believe. However, to add a bit of variety to the thread...

My sister went to a fortune teller and told her :-

She would meet and marry a builder who drove a blue transit van (this came true)

She had 2 brothers, one of them would set up his own business (I did, though under different circumstances than what I would have liked)

The only thing yet to happen is for my brother to meet a woman who will knock him off his feet, however given how the last prophecy turned out he'll be playing ice hockey when a fat mamma barrels into him and knocks him over - rather than a romantic sense.

There was about a year or 2 between her reading and those 2 things coming true.

How could she of forseen the builder who drove a blue transit van, how could she of known that for a short while I would become self employed and run my own business?

If your really wanting to know, it was a positive one in that my ex wife left me after a yr of marriage...best thing ever that happened to me. The guy that i went to see is a close family friend, hes a muslim Peer and doesnt take any money for the work he does although if u do give him money...he gives it to the poor people back home in Pakistan.
But according to him, 6 months before my wife packed her bags and left me without even a word to me...he informed my mum that she was going to leave me. At the time i thought he was talking utter BS...when it happened i actually was shocked that he said she was going to leave me just after a yr of marriage.
Also just to add he mentioned quite a few things about her, when for a start he never met her and only has seen me a few times...but hes told me things that he wouldnt know about as i never have spoken to him about such things when i have saw him.
Lets just say that now when he says things i tend to listen to him a bit more...
