Yep.. Been here since 2002 and I've never grumbled or even found another Forum that looks as easy on the eye as OcUK.. and the Stylish Overclockers Dark v2 makes it even nicer!!

It's fantastic, I don't know of a better design. I detest black forums they are sickening. White/beige/grey are ok but often look like a word or excel document.
These forums look nice but simple and colour is very easy to read. Combine that with sig/avatar rules and strict moderating and you have a winner.

That is exactly why a white/biege or grey forum would be good, because I deal with excel documents all day and this would then fit right in as Zefan has said

This is one of the (if not the) most visually pleasant forums on the internet. The design of this forum is one of the reasons I stuck around.

Unless your signatures are very plain colours or you drop the quality of the image then it's hard to stay in the 20kb limit, 50kb would be much better. It's hard to make a 400x75 signature which is colourful and stay in that limit.
For an example I just took a random colourful picture from the internet, and made it 400x75px:

As already said, learn to compress/use different software. you can get any sig regardless of how many colours easily under 20kb, probably under 10kb, it really isn't an issue.

it does... sort of. check the link a few posts up. it works for the most part but sometimes you get the occasional flicker of blue as the page loads which can be a bit crap.

I think the colour scheme and design is great.

The rubbish avatars make it quite a difficult forum to take seriously, but can't have it all.
