It's early in the morning when most people aren't using the site. We had to choose a time! I'm sure you'll learn to work around it
I'd suggest to synchronize bowel movements with the down time

Don't think the UK economy could manage with increase in workers productivity if that happened
There are 1440 minutes in a day. If you can't find something else to do for 5 minutes at 4am then you might as well just kill yourself.

Every time a forum I use gets a major upgrade I hate it, this place hasn't changed in the 13 years I've been a member don't make me have to get used to new software
But what about all those lovely features we are missing out on.. I think we deserve it by being a fantastic community.

They probably do but are able to do it without down time.
Remember that this has a lot of shop related stuff attached to it, so they want to make sure that everything is backed up and everything is working too.

If they do it properly they can just have a mobile theme, that's how Digital Spy does it and it works well.
