I'm afraid to tell you, you're wrongMy current connection is a shared connection of a poor satellite connection on an oil rig off the coast of Egypt. My connection speed is roughly the same as my old 56K modem. Unfortunately, some people don't have the luxury of broadband through no fault of their own and have no way of upgrading.
I know there will be very few people in my situation but I just felt like pointing out that your "safe" assumption was, in fact, unsafe![]()
And then of course there are people using mobile internet or whatever else.
Still, true most don't worry about it... but I'm pretty sure there are areas in the UK which don't have broadband access yet. Though they are in the minority of course!
